We received a request for a GSX1400 motorcycle inspection and oil change.

First, we performed headlight adjustment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we switched up and down, we noticed that quite an old HID unit was installed.
Since the latest is the best for this type of equipment, we replaced it with our usual LED bulb. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the existing HID, the difference between up and down switching is minimal, making it very inconvenient for city riding and inspection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we tested an H4 bulb and aligned the light axis, it didn’t produce even 10,000 candelas. For its model year, there seems to be considerable electrical loss.

Even under such circumstances, as shown in the image, it produces 34,000 candelas, so I think it’s an extremely excellent LED bulb. Also, even using an old headlight tester like ours at the shop, measurement detection is possible, which is very helpful. <\/a>

And the parts shown on the left image are now consolidated into the single unit on the right. It also reduces weight and should definitely make electrical system troubles less likely to occur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I recommend replacing old headlight components like these as soon as possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the end, I think there are only benefits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also replaced the engine oil and oil filter. It’s nice to have a bike that holds plenty of engine oil. After that, we obtained the inspection certificate and we’re done. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
