Since we’re going with the OEM type ( \uff40\u30fb\u2200\u30fb\u00b4)\uff89\uff96\uff9b\uff7c\uff78, we’ll use the factory distribution block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Man, this distribution block\u2014or adapter, or whatever\u2014is really long…

When it comes to hose fabrication, the bottom line is that a proper fit can only be achieved through test-fitting against the actual bike (\u00b4-`).\uff61oO

Issues with interference when the handlebars are turned left and right, or layout problems, crop up far more often than you’d expect based on measurements alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shrink tubing plus braided sleeve for abrasion resistance (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40)

It looks stock and is plenty durable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set the length with the fork fully extended.
When fully extended, I personally add about 5\u201310 mm extra.

Too long can be dangerous, so you should be careful about that.
If it’s too short, it won’t fit, so you often see bikes with abnormally long hoses installed.
*There’s no question this would be a bike I’d absolutely never want to test ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we lower the stand and check the layout one more time to make sure there are no issues.

Contact that could loosen the banjo fitting is something we really need to watch out for. That’s how scary a brake hose component can be ( \uff9f\u0414\uff9f)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only one\u2014or maybe the only one\u2014with a sintered metal option is the Brembo VD-331JL, so that’s what we’re using.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We bled the fluid and worked the pistons, and the caliper overhaul is complete (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
