For those of you who end up with this kind of puzzle, here’s a suggestion: if you can get ON 12V and ground from a location where they run parallel, it’ll be much simpler and shorter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also removed the ground that was co-fastened to the battery.
Running it all the way from the tail to the battery is a hassle and offers no benefit whatsoever.
Why pay to have the ETC installed and then… well, you know. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dash cam fuse holder is extremely difficult to secure, so I’m switching to a vertical type. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Inazuma oil-cooled Katana simply has no space.
Normally it would just get tossed into a storage compartment and that would be the end of it… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I mounted the dash cam body under the tank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The neck section is quite tight… like this…
I got the dash cam power and ground in parallel and didn’t connect to BT+. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s basically better to avoid co-fastening to the battery.

I use an endoscope to check for any contact under the tank.
Having an endoscope versus not having one makes a huge difference in reliability. Think of it as buying peace of mind\u2014it’s worth having one on hand for various jobs. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
