Today’s troublemaker.

Applying too much thread locker to cylinder bolts can cause secondary damage.
Even after re-punching, the bolt kept spinning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Disassemble and use a set screw,
\u2022 Or spot weld.
We went with spot welding since it’s easier. The bottom surface is finished flat, so rest assured. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also deburr and polish the oil lock.
We put love into every single part. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s best not to reuse cylinder bolts.

I’ve never stripped one myself, but I’ve watched others do it, and getting a single bolt unstuck easily costs a good hour.
There’s always the possibility of prior damage, so constant vigilance is needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest trend: fill the lip area with fluorine grease.

It should maintain operation and reduce oil leakage… fluorine is supposed to be the best… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve been fabricating various attachments.
For now we can only compress to 70 mm, but we can read the rate numerically from 0 to 70 mm.
When you want to change it later or when you need to judge whether the current spring is hard or soft, having the numbers in your head makes a spring tester a really useful tool.
