I was doing some research today…

and every part I thought I might want… was discontinued.
Honestly, there’s really nothing you can do about it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a bike takes a major hit, there may be many models that can’t be restored with OEM parts.
*With aftermarket parts, you might have options. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

69100-40F01 \u2014 rear caliper (aluminum piston) for GSX-R1000 K1-2 <\/a>
The body is the same on GSX1400 and others too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

69100-40F20-999 \u2014 GSX1400 with iron piston is still being delivered.
Hiro’s got a bit of a bargain on this one (*’\u25bd’) <\/a> \u00a527,500\u266c <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not that the caliper itself matters much… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

69721-40F00 \u2014 caliper support for 220mm diameter

Sadly, it’s been discontinued… <\/strong>It was cheap and easy to modify for 220mm, too.
I stocked up on it anyway. (Even though I won’t use it.) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The models using this Nissin caliper are very few <\/strong>in number.
With torque rod <\/strong>might be the bottleneck.

Without torque rod <\/strong>, it’s hugely popular on GSX-R1000 K3 and later, Kawasaki ZZR1400, and others… looks like it’ll have a long life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Rigid without torque rod is the mainstream now, and I’m planning to go rigid too.
Suzuki OEM parts really disappear fast if you don’t buy them early… <\/p>\n\n\n\n
