With foreign brands, it’s possible to source parts through parallel imports, and sometimes they’re even cheaper than domestic sourcing.
However, with domestic manufacturers, if you source from overseas, prices skyrocket.

Since this is Kawasaki, it’s not too tough for our shop, but if all manufacturers adopt the same approach, only mega-dealers will survive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the manufacturer’s perspective, people riding bikes they sold long ago doesn’t benefit them now.
In fact, you could say they’re the ones supplying old parts and taking care of things.

If you’re thinking of keeping your current bike for a long time, you should start stockpiling parts.
The bikes you all ride are 20 years old or older.
When you think about it, the fact that such parts are being delivered at all might be something to be grateful for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you bring up this kind of talk, you often hear things like “Ducati does this” or “BMW does that.”
Honestly, there’s a cultural difference first, and I think that’s a value system we just can’t change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t want to worry about parts, you can just ride Ducati or BMW.
If you really want to keep riding your current bike, I recommend stockpiling parts.

So much time has passed that the era when manufacturers and bike shops could handle everything might be coming to an end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
