* There are plenty of shops out there that handle that kind of work, so please reach out to them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspection plus work requests: keep it minimal <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When people request an inspection, it’s great that they pile on work requests too, but…
when it’s five or six bikes, we can’t get them all delivered on time.
Because we can’t balance incoming and outgoing work, we’re stuck in chronic gridlock year-round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work that other shops can handle: take it to other shops <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I don’t resent or begrudge people who come to us if they get work done elsewhere.
I’d appreciate it if everyone worked together, each doing what they do best.
If you can do it yourself, then do it yourself.

Nowadays, even tire shops will swap out brake pads for you.
Why not take advantage of that? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it’s something that makes us hesitate even for a moment: put it on hold or decline <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

People come asking for things that are like… well, that’s not really us.
The first thing to say is “Google it!”
You can research fabrication, painting, surface treatment, materials\u2014anything.
If you can type and speak Japanese, you can figure out most things.

If you just say “Sure, sure \u266a” and do everything for everyone, you become the person people take advantage of.
When you’re stuck: “Google it!” (*^-^*) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
