Yogurt&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No matter how many units are sold overseas, it&#8217;s still a bit sad. <br>It&#8217;s quite sad, really. Having to order domestic maker parts and manuals from overseas&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Isn&#8217;t there some way to preserve this culturally? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Classic and out-of-production bikes seem to be kept alive by the passion and dedication of specialty shops. <br>Honestly, the number of reproduction products that sell domestically in Japan is pretty limited. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But when you see specialty shops carrying such a wide lineup of products with limited sales, <strong>you realize it&#8217;s <\/strong>&#8220;not just about business.&#8221; <br>It&#8217;s because they genuinely care about that maker and model. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I sometimes wish there were ways to keep things alive instead of discontinuing them outright. If makers could work well with their subcontractors and specialty shops, both sides could maintain a good relationship. <br>Recently, I&#8217;ve been happily ordering parts from overseas, but&#8230; <br>wait, that&#8217;s a Japanese maker&#8230; and it hits me a bit sad. <br>I bet people overseas are thinking <strong>&#8220;Huh? Japan? No parts available?&#8221; <\/strong>too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Motorcycles face exhaust regulations, noise restrictions, parking bans, high unit costs, and now strict parts availability\u2014it&#8217;s becoming harder to keep owning them. <br><strong>&#8220;Just buy a new one!&#8221; <\/strong>you might say, <strong>but I think there&#8217;s value in <\/strong>&#8220;owning what you want to ride and keeping it for the long haul.&#8221; <br>Fix it while you can, ride it while you can. It&#8217;s a tough world out there.
