Let’s move forward with a blub-blub?

The idea came to me in the bath the day before… bubble bubble. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

I’m thinking through about three different plans, and the key point is which one is simplest, has the fewest failure points, and offers the most flexibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m going to cut the existing meter bracket (XJR) and switch from the appetizing key cylinder boss to a plate-style mount.
First I’ll make a sample in aluminum, do a test fit, and then I’ll ponder… and ponder.

If it looks good, that’s the GO signal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now I’ve installed it like this.
Since I’m not sure what else might come up, the lightening holes are a treat for later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next is the question of where to mount the meter bracket.

I want to keep it as simple as possible, and since it’s a V-twin, I need to make sure vibration damping is adequate.

Should I just do the meter wiring first… or…
