Often people buy a restoration base bike and think they can save money by doing the work themselves and riding it, right?

I used to think that way too, back in the day… but the reality is not that simple.
Even if you have the skill to restore a bike, without the right equipment you can’t get anywhere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting a bike with a known history to some degree might be the safest bet.
From my experience, I think a bike that’s as close to original as possible is the most reliable choice (*’\u03c9’*) <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

For its age, the condition is pretty good, but…

Customers often use the term “overhaul, overhaul”…
but depending on the shop’s approach, the scope of work varies, so sometimes I wonder if it’s right to lump it all together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s kind of like painting in a way.
If you do a thorough prep job, good condition lasts a long time. But if you cut corners, you get results that match.
The initial difference might be small, but as five or ten years pass, that difference grows.

Let me go back to the front for a moment.
The axle runout is good with no issues (*’\u03c9’*) The bearings should be fine too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cleaned everything in detail, oiled it, and reassembled it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
