Now I’m carefully swapping out the meter harness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since it’s the weekend, progress is a bit slow (*^-^*) <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Well, the connector positions are completely different. I wonder why… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some connectors were burned, deformed by heat, and the sockets were extremely tight and wouldn’t come out.
I thought about replacing them, but it turns out new ones aren’t available… ( \uff1b\u2200\uff1b) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cut away the dirty parts with a utility knife and filed down the raised spots a bit. Now it looks just right. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some nasty solder came out, and I figured out the mystery of the speed warning light too\u2014very reassuring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wrapped the harness with mesh tubing and secured it with 3M tape.
It looks a bit like a foreign bike now\u2014pretty cool.

Suzuki from this era used
\u25cfSumitomo Electric 090-type MT series 13-pole F connector only (terminals sold separately)\/13P090-MT-F-tr <\/a>
connectors. It’s really helpful that they’re easy to source nowadays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This connector is normally fixed, but there’s a chance it could contact the bracket, so I’m leaving it loose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that’s the meter wiring all done!
