I got carried away and sold it the other day\u2014CP3369 90MM pitch.
Now, after the fact, I’m starting to want it again.

Maybe the unsupported 90MM was the way to go after all? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This range is still manageable, but unless you have serious dedication, it’s better not to get involved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The other day, a bike with serious passion passed right in front of me…

It’s really tough.
It feels like battling a puzzle where you don’t even know if it will actually come together.

People who truly love classic superbikes have become incredibly rare these days.
But the passion I’ve encountered in people from the past was genuinely extraordinary\u2014the kind of dedication that was almost abnormal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since new parts don’t exist, it’s basically all used. Condition varies wildly.
You get a wheel but no disc.
You get a fork but no stem, no handlebar (clip-ons). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You get a disc but no caliper.
You get a swingarm but no rear suspension.
And so on\u2014it never ends. It’s a puzzle that takes who-knows-how-long to solve… you’re looking at twenty years or more… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collection state expands infinitely, so just gathering parts is incredibly demanding.
You end up buying things you don’t really need just to be friendly…
Or buying something just in case you might use it down the road…

Unlike today, when discs and sprockets are freely interchangeable, that wasn’t the case back then.
Even consumables were typically one-off custom pieces.

Even when you finally get it assembled\u2014when it’s finally done\u2014
there are no fine repair parts available afterward.
Especially brakes.
Even if you know the piston diameter, caliper seal compatibility gets tricky because of the inner dimensions on the caliper side, so adapting parts is risky.
Masters are too risky to adapt either\u2014you just can’t do it.
And since there are no pads, you’re constantly grinding away modifying and adapting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just thinking about it is exhausting, but a puzzle assembled with that much effort becomes truly one-of-a-kind.
The passion vector differs from person to person.
Within the category of enjoying motorcycles, there are so many different vectors that I’m constantly reminded how high-passion this hobby really is (*’\u03c9’*) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
