There’s the issue of “working guys” too, you know.
Whether it’s materials or supplies, delivery dates seem to be stretching further and further out, or becoming indefinite\u2014it’s starting to feel like the new normal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe it’s the fiscal year-end, but “Wait, hand-bent mufflers are also indefinite lead time?” happens pretty often. <\/a>
Buying when you can, getting what you want when you want it\u2014that might be the key to staying satisfied going forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Still, it would be nice if the price went up and it got reproduced.

What? You can’t buy it anymore? Even hunting hard, used ones cost more than new ones…
Ah, so it really did have value, I think to myself wistfully. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to keep an eye on those exquisite parts from small and mid-size shops too.
Even a small spike in material costs or a shift in supply schedules can deal a serious blow, and we need to be prepared for the possibility of production being discontinued. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The craftsman issue is important too.
Before I knew it, I’d become a proper middle-aged guy myself. Which means?
The old guys from back then are basically “approaching grandfather age” now.
Placing orders while you can still get work done or have things made might be important. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think about your remaining time once in a while.
The day when your arms, legs, or back won’t let you enjoy things fully might be closer than you think.
