I fabricated a welding plate.
I want to make it as wide as possible for good contact area, so I’ll bend it to fit by feel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll fit it to the surface, position it, and tack weld it in this state. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The original bracket was long and thick, so I cut it out and reused it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s how I installed the vibration damper from the other day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I could have pushed it further, but… sticking with this muffler… well, you know.

The underside had some serious cracks too… I welded those up as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
