It’s a 250, but is it a Final?
It’s subtly finished in Final Silver…
It’s scary, so let’s remove the fairings first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

First, let’s remove the corrosion from the handlebar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve polished it up nicely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s some rough corrosion, but once the color becomes uniform, it’ll look beautiful all at once. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 250 is well thought out.
Looking at this, it’s obvious\u2014it uses a stepped collar to hold the upper cowl while protecting it, a semi-floating design of sorts.
If budget allows, doing the same on the GSX1100S would greatly reduce damage to the cowl. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve replaced the rear tank you brought in. (^_-)-\u2606 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used yesterday’s anchor to remove the key cylinder.

I’ll re-lubricate the stem bearings. There was still plenty of grease retained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upper seal is plastic on this era, so I’ll replace it with one from stock\u2014from a Bandit 1200 (probably).
*It’s a pain to walk a few steps to the storage area to confirm… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s try-something-softer week.
It should be more responsive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The piston is already discontinued, which made me nervous, but it’s in good condition so I’m relieved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
