My resolution for next year is (*\u00b4\u0414`)\uff8a\uff67\uff8a\uff67 to do what needs doing, and not do what doesn’t.

Over this year-end and New Year period, I realized I need to think carefully about what lies ahead.
People really do end up drifting through life, don’t they…

I like what’s solid and safe.

I have this habit of wanting to walk a flat, uneventful path without taking risks.
But then…
That aggressive spirit I had in my teens and twenties is ancient history now.
I’m drifting toward a cat-like mindset of only buying safe stocks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 24 hours in a day.
There are plenty of people working far harder and more intensely than me.
But that’s them, and I’m me\u2014that’s life.
I can choose everything for myself, yet I don’t choose. I suddenly realized I’m stuck in a thought pattern where I believe I can’t choose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life is case-by-case; comparison rarely helps.
I sometimes look at other people’s lives objectively and think about them.
What should I do going forward? Where do I stand now? And so on…

What you can’t see can only be measured in numbers…
So what should I measure? What should I compare?
Revenue… profit… customer count… Can satisfaction in work be calculated from these? What do you think?

How old will you work until?
I’ve asked this of various self-employed people.
Was the world peaceful before COVID?
I’ve never once heard a clear, grounded answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hmm, I see, I thought to myself the same way, drifting along aimlessly with the idea of “Persistence is strength, gaining power year after year.”
At year-end, I ended up selling off the frame Z piece by piece. Honestly, I felt disappointed that I don’t have the time or space to work on something like this… but at the same time, I felt a sense of relief as things decreased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next year, I want to adjust the volume of work\u2014though I’m not sure what unit to divide it into\u2014and carefully sort out what to do and what not to do.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
