I’d say almost 100% of people never look at a fuse until it blows.
That’s just how reliable Japanese motorcycles are built… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But before you know it, 10 or 20 years have passed.
Since it’s been conducting electricity all that time, I think it’s worth giving it a refresh (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

I think I only started including fuse checks in my maintenance routine in the last few years.

It’s a spot that neither technicians nor owners touch much.
When you open it up… you often find there are no spares inside, or not enough of them.
There was no backup plan for when you really needed it ( \uff1b\u2200\uff1b)

That said, a blown fuse means that replacing it will just blow again, so only pretty rare cases get saved… But having spares is handy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Replacing it won’t cause any dramatic changes.

But you can check for spare availability, power supply contact fit, amperage differences, corrosion, and more. If you’ve never looked since you bought it, or you just picked it up recently, I’d say it’s worth checking.

Fuses don’t cost much. Make sure to swap them out for genuine manufacturer parts. <\/a>
