Recently, on a personal note, I downsized my wallet during this pandemic.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It doesn’t take up much space and fits easily in my pocket, which is extremely convenient.
However, there have been a few times when I’ve had that sudden “Oh no!” moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you lose your wallet, stopping and reissuing important items like your driver’s license and credit cards is extremely tedious.
So I decided to put a loss tag in my wallet.
It won’t guarantee I’ll find it, but it’s an effective way to have a lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I keep it in my wallet as a card-sized item.
It doesn’t have GPS built in, but it syncs with your smartphone to let you know the location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 You can make the card ring from your phone
\u2022 You can make your phone ring from the card<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s about it. The downside is that it’s disposable after three years and can’t be recharged.
There are other brands that offer rechargeable options.
Since I wasn’t sure what I’d use the loss tag for, I ended up buying one that has both alarm and loss tag features.<\/a>
In three years, there will probably be even better options. But losing something before that time comes would be the worst. It’s kind of like insurance, isn’t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You might only think about buying a loss tag after you’ve had a painful experience.
It’s kind of like insurance, isn’t it?
The other day, I suddenly thought of something\u2014what if the shop keychain had a loss tag attached? It could be really useful in case something happens. I’m thinking about it a bit.
Plus, if you put one inside your bike, you could track its location in case of theft or in a large parking lot (like when you go to TOT, don’t you have to search for your bike?).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For just a few thousand yen, I found this peace of mind to be extremely worthwhile.
You know that commercial that says “drink before you eat”?

Similarly, “attach before you lose” might become the standard.
If you think about it, I think it’s worth considering.
