When I push it or take it for a test ride, sometimes I think “whoa!”\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be honest\u2026 I’m amazed at how well people ride them. Human adaptability is incredible.
Depending on the condition, it can be hard to explain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Adults should understand that labor equals cost.
That’s different from young people who call things expensive or cheap based on their own wallet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Same displacement\u2014say, 1200cc. One is a popular model worth around 1 million yen. The other is unpopular, so let’s say 300,000 yen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If there’s no major difference in body and equipment, maintenance, repair costs, and parts are the same.
Price doesn’t change based on whether the individual is popular or not. (Rare bikes, imports, and classics might be different.)
So here’s the problem: would you spend 300,000 yen on a 300,000 yen motorcycle?

If you say “I love this bike and won’t stop,” that’s one thing, but if the reason is just that it was cheap, often you’d be better off switching to something in better condition.
A bike that costs money from the start will cost money later too.

Sometimes customers let me test ride bikes they’ve bought.
I think you only reach an opinion once the basics work as they should.
And that’s when\u2026
I test ride it and think “wow, they really ride this?” or “I’m too scared to ride this”\u2014and honestly, there are quite a few bikes like that.
I struggle with how to explain it.
People are surprisingly adaptable.
I wouldn’t get too nitpicky, but if you feel “this is scary,” there’s often actually something wrong, so it’s good to pay attention. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, you should pump up the tires\u2026 that’s the golden rule. Next is brakes. If the lever and pedal aren’t light, you’re not getting anywhere.
