You often see the Inazuma 1200 oil-cooled Katana.
I believe Unicorn Japan’s work was the first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I first saw it at Bikers Station, it was an amazing idea.
That Inazuma 1200 suddenly transforming into what looks like a fully customized Katana…
Fantastic!

But when you think about it carefully, there were similar ideas in the past, even if the models were different. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Wasn’t the “Bimota-look fairing series” for Kawasaki Z models actually a pretty standard thing? <\/a>This is now PMC, but… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

BIMOTA was such an outrageous price back then that maybe a method was established to enjoy it by mounting the fairing on an affordable Z. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This has real appeal. When you see the price, you think “wow, I could get another CB1100!” but the charm of being able to install it as-is is undeniable.
Considering the capital needed to buy a real CB1100R and its maintenance costs, this offers great peace of mind and value. The fuel tank capacity also increases to 19.5 liters, addressing the SC65’s shortcomings\u2014really excellent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is wonderful too. I saw the actual bike at Tsukuba before, and it’s well done.
At first glance, you really can’t tell.

In a way, since there’s demand, manufacturers might as well boldly release the exact model.
Development needs forward-thinking vision, not just looking back, but I think what’s called a classic is a wonderful asset in its own right.

For example, you drive the real thing on holidays and enjoy current models for everyday use.
The fact that the Z900RS is selling well is surely the reality (*’\u03c9’*) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, past customization involved modifying and installing parts, but nowadays they’re produced as-is or with minimal modification\u2014quite efficient.
