\u25c7When one cylinder in a four-cylinder engine is misfiring.

Is it the coil? The spark plug? The carburetor? The engine itself?
Start with the simplest test first.
\u2022 Swap the spark plug from the bad cylinder with one from a good cylinder

If the symptom moves to the other cylinder, you can rule out the spark plug.

Usually, ignition coil cylinders 1\u20134 share the same coil, and cylinders 2\u20133 share the same coil. Try swapping the 1\u20134 coil or the 2\u20133 coil.
If the misfiring cylinder doesn’t change, you can rule out the coil for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25c7Fuel cap blockage causing stalling<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bike suddenly stalls on the highway as if it ran out of gas and stops.
After waiting a few minutes, it starts again and runs fine at low speeds. On regular roads, the symptom doesn’t appear.

\u2022 Check if RES or PRI mode makes a difference
\u2022 Only when the fuel tank is low.
Open the fuel cap (but don’t remove it completely) to equalize the fuel tank to atmospheric pressure and see if the symptom appears or disappears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25c7Hard to push or pull<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the front and rear wheels off the ground, check how things feel with and without the calipers.
How does the wheel spin on its own?

As a technician, you work through elimination using experience and probability.
It comes down to how many tools you have in your toolbox, but blind spots pop up all the time. Take your time, stay calm, and work through each possibility one by one. I think of it as a game of finding the unexpected culprit\u2014and honestly, there’s something fun about it (*’\u03c9’*)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
