Your customer’s bike might be in good shape, but a shock driver is the kind of tool you’d only need to pull out maybe once a year, if that.

If you’ve got an older bike with a lot of Phillips head fasteners, it might come in handy, but be careful not to overdo it or hit too hard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

If you’ve used one before, you know what I mean.

It’s a fantastic tool that combines impact force, downward pressure, and rotational force all at once.
But have you ever thought about how those impacts accumulate in the base material?

You’re usually working on older bikes.
The aluminum has already been around for decades, so it’s hard to say whether subjecting it to that kind of impact is a good idea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carburetors need special care too. For M4 or M5 fasteners, an electric impact driver is definitely the way to go\u2014it’s fast and won’t cause damage. <\/a>

Sometimes you can’t tell if you’re fixing something or breaking it.
If the material cracks, you can’t undo that. You might get it close to how it was, but\u2026
