If you’re buying used, a well-conditioned Inazuma 1200 is the way to go.
I imagine most people don’t let theirs go easily, though… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inspection went smoothly, so we’re moving on to the other work.
We have to run everything in parallel or we’ll never finish! <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Valve Timing guy #1 we made the other day.
We’ve been identifying a few things that are a bit of a hassle.

After seeing our blog, the customer wants to replace the front cam chain slider while we’re doing the oil-cooled maintenance.
Parts like this will probably disappear soon anyway, so it’s good timing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The curved one is the new part. It’s surprising how straight they get worn.
This time it didn’t snap and crackle (*’\u25bd’) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have to remove the cam, which is a bit tedious, but unlike Kawasaki Z models, we don’t have to worry about the cam holder bolt threads stripping, so it’s mentally easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time for the wire brush treatment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To remove the cam, we need to remove the tensioner.
Some people remove the carburettor, but… I think removing the generator is easiest. For reference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We replaced the damper. It was wearing nicely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We cleaned this one up nice and shiny too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The starter motor looks like it was replaced with a new one. It’s clean, which helps.
We cleaned up the generator too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The damper was in good condition too. It’s on the menu, so we’ll replace it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cam showed no scuffing and was in excellent condition.
I haven’t seen anyone with scuffed cams lately… I wonder why. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also replaced the air filter and spark plugs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
