Before you know it, it’s gotten cold!

The season has arrived when you see those warm drink vending machines everywhere (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce
Let’s tackle what we can do right away. We’ll replace the tire and rear caliper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The right one is Suzuki, the left is Kawasaki\u2014both are Tokico but differ slightly, though they’re interchangeable.
The appearance is usually pretty worn, and since the dust seal is an external type, corrosion accelerates.

While Kawasaki is still supplying them, I think it’s worth replacing the oil-cooled GSX-R series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The basic structure is the same. The only differences are things like the nipple wrench size going from 8 to 10 MM, or the banjo bolt pitch changing from 1.25 to 1.00.
There’s also some resin filler inside, so use it as you prefer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically, with new calipers we disassemble them once, remove the silicone grease, apply CCI MR20 metal rubber, and then reassemble.
I think this gives much better operation right from the start.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, we bleed the air and we’re done (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next up: the customer asked us to replace the tires.
Dunlop RoadSmart IV<\/a> The selection for this type of 18-inch tire has grown a bit.
Speaking of IV, the \u03b17 IV was just announced… they really do have a knack for marketing (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They had more runout than expected… especially the front.
