This year too, it feels like we’ve been tossed around by COVID… or maybe not so much…
I get that feeling.

Those days when I’d check the clock at 8 p.m. and think, “The day is still long!” are a thing of the past.
Often by around 5 p.m., I’m hitting the limits of what I can accomplish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Despite all the convenience improvements in the world, time is being eaten up somewhere.

What I’ve come to realize lately is that “misorders” are a huge factor.
Basically, it’s forgotten orders or shortages. If I had the kind of personality where I could say “grab an unrelated used part and make it work,” things would move along smoothly, but as they say, “more haste, less speed,” and I also hold dear the belief that “cutting corners always comes back to haunt you.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking on requests I should have turned down, dealing with new vendors\u2014all that takes time.
But if the result turns out “good,” it’s worth the effort. You even get that exciting feeling of discovering a new shortcut or workaround. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hunting for replacement parts from discontinued models is the same story.
I wonder if this information will ever be useful down the road… but thinking it must connect to something eventually, I dig into research and before I know it, a huge chunk of time has vanished. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GS1000S doesn’t look like it’ll get moving this year either… right? This is tough.
