Z750FX-1 prices have gotten absolutely crazy these days.
Back in the day, it seemed like this was the bike people rode when they couldn’t get a Z1000MK2. There were a lot of folks who just swapped the emblems\u2026

We finally got around to the brake hose that kept getting pushed back.
When you use off-the-shelf hose, it ends up looking like this\u2026

Honestly, I’ve never seen an off-the-shelf hose that installs properly. We don’t handle or install any off-the-shelf or proprietary hoses at all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’re going to strip the M6 bolt on the swingarm?
We use the 61196-38G00 guide brake hose, the same one famous on the Bandit 1200 K6 and others.
The opening makes the work really easy (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time we went with a rather unconventional layout.
We’re using G\/R fittings, and I’m still amazed at how many variations there are in threaded fittings.

I’d like to consider crimped fittings once there are more options available\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that’s how the hose layout came together (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce
It’s set up so it’s easy to clean the caliper and remove the swingarm, with a nice simple layout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The customer wanted to join the barling faith, so I gave it my best shot.
The mounting method was the trickiest part\u2026 but we managed to pull it off (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engine oil is SHELL ADVANCE ULTRA 15W-50. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re replacing the clutch wire, you should also service this release arm\u2014it becomes super light and smooth.

I accidentally forgot to order the throttle wire\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shift rod assembly is a bit off. It has a cut cover, so I installed it inside with a spacer to keep it straight.

When you keep it moving straight without unnecessary force, shifting becomes smooth.
