Order today, delivery tomorrow\u2014pretty convenient these days, right?
But when that standard delivery window shrinks to one or two days, a single mistake means the job won’t be done that week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blaming someone with “That’s slow, \u25cb\u25cb” isn’t fair either. I’m reminded every day that we have to adapt well to the times we’re in. (*’\u03c9’*) <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Invisible shortages are becoming serious.

When you actually try to order something, have you recently experienced lead times of ten days or a month?
Wait, what? I remember things used to ship immediately before last year… and so on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tires are pretty problematic.
Everyone wants to order fresh ones when they need them.
Since there are plenty of items with indefinite lead times, you’ll want to start checking two to three months before you plan to replace them. *New models coming out can cause problems too, so it’s hard to order ahead of time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brake pads.
These consumables are troublesome too. Some owners are fine with whatever’s left, while others choose a specific brand they prefer.
Pads don’t wear out quickly, so rotating stock? Maybe… or maybe not… it’s a tough call. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electrical items.
The other day I tried to order a multi-temp meter <\/a>and… Yoshimura had no stock.
Amazon had no stock either. <\/a> Surprisingly, even Yahoo Auctions… <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This kind of reselling has become standard practice.
I think we need to write down what we want and need, and plan out when to buy and use things\u2014otherwise things are going to get tough going forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Maybe things were just too convenient before? They’re still pretty convenient now, but…
