Here we go. We’re investigating the turn signal control unit that’s unique to the GS1000.

The reason is that with the headlight on, the left or right signal is hard to activate, but if you activate right first then left, it works fine.

I thought I’d try to eliminate it if possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

When I checked the wiring diagram, they’re doing something weird inside the switch again.
Either O or O\/R goes into the dimmer… that’s rare. Really bizarre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To find where they’re joining together, I stripped the outer covering and found they were separated by a connector.
This is probably what’s causing the flickering when the turn signal lights up with the headlight on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the result… the turn signal switch can’t mechanically hold the turn signal ON when turned right or left, so we decided to reject that approach.
*Of course, wanting to eliminate it in the first place is just my preference… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m using a Daytona turn signal relay that I love. If you use this turn signal relay, you can’t go wrong~ (\u03a6\u03c9\u03a6)

As long as it’s 100W or less, it can handle hazard lights too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So now the turn signal response is super quick.
If you want snappy turn signal response even on an older bike, I recommend this product (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce
