When you think of a GPZ900R, you think of Tom Cruise, right? *That’s a bit dated\u2014actually, quite dated.

We received a request for an inspection and Deco-mainte. (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The tires are from 2019\u20132020, so there’s no issue yet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s check the spark plugs. As is typical with GPZ models, they were all rusty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has a special technology installed, and there’s an unusual terminal cap (a long one) fitted.
I didn’t know such things existed\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re replacing the DR plugs with JR plugs.
JR plugs are a performance upgrade, so choosing them is the better option.
*Though the difference is hard to feel\u2026
We used an NT4245 terminal cap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You should change the coolant once every two years.
Older bikes rust more easily. *Once rust starts, it’s a constant battle against it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We replaced the radiator cap with an NTN P541A. <\/a>This size fits almost all motorcycles, so keeping it in stock is a good idea. (For bike shop owners)

We adjusted the carburetor synchronization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The air cleaner fell apart just from touching it, so we’re replacing it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fuses don’t cost much, so we’re replacing all of them. (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce<\/p>\n\n\n\n
