This is a continuation of the VTR1000F where we installed the rear suspension the other day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

We replaced the air filter. We also replaced the secondary air filter inside the box. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also replaced the spark plug. It was really black, which makes me wonder if the carburetor is running rough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the manual, the drain is around the front bank area…
We replaced the coolant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The radiator cap was at its limit, so we replaced it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We cleaned the brake calipers. The piston action is a bit sluggish, so we might want to consider an OH soon.
The second choice for pads has uncertain delivery, so we’ll make do for a bit longer… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to fix that straight fitting that’s pointing in a weird direction soon… maybe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re replacing the lever tip with an Antlion.

We had the bushing puller made beforehand. For press-fit work, instead of using a box, making a perfectly sized piece on the lathe makes the job more reliable.
With sleeve-type work, just supporting by the inner diameter makes the job much more reliable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda’s frame is really clean, I have to say.
The VTR1000F is such a good bike yet so affordable. Don’t you think it could become a trendy image-change bike if we swap out the bodywork?
