First thing this morning… the breather outlet direction on the oil-cooled engine is the worst.
The GU74, GR71, and GR77 are straight, so they’re easy to work with, but the GV73 and 1200 are tricky.
The GV73 especially has a tight space under the tank, so the breather piping is a bit of a pain.
I bent some stainless steel pipe to the same inner diameter.
A pipe bender is so handy! It’s one of those moments when you really appreciate having the right tools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I disassembled and lubricated the lever and pedal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aftermarket steps\u2014it’s a common problem. Most of them are deformed and don’t work right.
I used the lathe to take off a layer and correct it.
Without machinery, there’s no way to handle this kind of thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sorry to those who like button head bolts, but I don’t like button heads or tapered heads.
The heads deform easily, and with button heads the tool size drops by one size, which is a bit inconvenient. I replaced them all with trivalent black. (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the oil change, I used Shell Advance Ultra 4T 15W-50.
I also replaced the drain bolt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new(?) fuel petcock is very… well, slightly improved.
GSX-R owners should get one while they’re still available. ( \uff9f\u0414\uff9f) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
