Looking at it now, the BS34 seems pretty dated.
This carburetor has had a long life and we’ve relied on it quite a bit\u2014I wonder if there are many different motorcycle models that used it.
Eventually it even got a TPS and was mounted on an XJR1200, after all.

Even though I did all the carburettor work before, there’s sediment in all four of them.
Is it rust? Dirt? I’m not sure what it is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This GS1000S BS has a mysterious float valve clip attached\u2014a strange specification. Comparing it to the sample from the other day, it’s the same size, so I’d like to order and replace it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s gotten quite stepped.
With so much rust and debris, it’s like a wet blast\u2014it really attacks aggressively. There’s no doubt that rubber float valves are the strongest.

I think the XJR-size valve could be used as-is, but since the price is nearly double, I’d rather go with the standard one.
If the timing works out, it might arrive tomorrow… or so I hope.
