A design that’s straight as an arrow all the way. Simple yet sporty\u2014it’s always a sight to behold. If I bought up a bunch of KZ1000s and LTDs and made a Z1R-style specialty shop… it probably wouldn’t sell, huh? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So the request is for inspection, tire change, and light maintenance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

We’ll swap out the air valve. TR412… I wonder if I machined that myself?
These days it’d be so much easier… I found myself getting a bit nostalgic about it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The D brand tires are fantastic too\u2014no runout at all. The M brand we put on the Z1000 LTD the other day was really excellent. <\/a> (Bias, by the way.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a light wipe-down on the inside dirt makes a huge difference in shine. <\/a>
The mud comes right off and looks clean. (You could call it the wet effect.)
It works great even when the bodywork is covered in dust. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rear caliper works great. The pads have plenty of material left. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hmm… the piston stiffness doesn’t seem like Brembo, which is a bit disappointing.
And the right caliper has minimal pad left while the left is loaded.
The left caliper has this suspicious whitish powder… could the fluid be seeping?

It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the left pad is a bit damp.
The disc also looked a bit oily. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
