Nitron rear shock setup and fitting is complete, and we’re almost done.

I thought we should wait until everything is ready, but with the motto “don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today!” we’re steadily making progress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

It’s pretty oily\u2014looks like it might be the starter motor or the lower part of the Y-line.

If you buy an oil-cooled bike, you might want to check the alternator connector first.
It sometimes melts, so be careful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re replacing the generator damper.

If you’re worried about rust in certain spots, spreading thread compound thinly and evenly helps prevent it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We replaced the damper with a later-model one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
