At this point it feels like an air-cooled CB1300SF.
Honda bikes have been quietly showing up more often lately.

When a bike is newer, the work really moves along… new bikes are so nice, I think to myself.

First, we check the tire age. Sorry, I forgot to remove the rear.

The tread depth suggests it’s time to think about replacement soon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We cleaned the brake calipers and confirmed piston operation.

Places you can’t reach by hand are exactly when you should clean them thoroughly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parts like these clean up quickly, which I really appreciate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s extremely important not to let the front fork inner tubes rust.
Keep them clean and lubricated with rust preventative to make them last. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We knocked out the dust from the brake disc holes and degreased them.
When you get rid of all that accumulated grime, it’s surprisingly satisfying.

The disc contact surface is narrow\u2014really cutting-edge! I found myself thinking about how modern this is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We cleaned and lubricated the control systems and side stand. Let’s restore smooth operation! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We replaced all three fluids. *I forgot to photograph the clutch, but it was all clean. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As long as the battery is fully charged, FI bikes are worry-free.
We also removed and checked all the fuses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rust prevention and cleaning of the fuel cap. Cleaning the cap rim. We also cleaned off debris stuck to the key. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The air filter and spark plugs are for next time.
The drive chain isn’t bad, but the rust is noticeable, so we’ll keep an eye on it and consider replacement.
