First, I’ll paint the top bridge as requested.
I really hate those bolts on the key cylinder that snap… am I the only one?

It’s good to make a Hole-Drilling Taizou Number 6 ahead of time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The broken part has a taper relief, so drilling through with 4mm lets you get perfect centering in one shot.

That was easy! \u266a Drill the pilot hole and then expand it with M6 and you’re done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I’ll disassemble the front fork.
The oil was nice and clean. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a crash you worry about the inner tube bending… but it was fine! \u2606 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having a lathe makes finishing the inner tube so much better and easier\u2014I’m glad I bought it!
It’s definitely in my top purchases this year! \u266a <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did a detailed check and I’ll use the usual SKF fork seals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll bleed the fork oil properly, adjust the oil level, and reassemble. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is how it looks finished with guncoat.
When we paint it, it comes out a bit grayish, but that’s all we’ve got so please bear with us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When checking the air filter is a hassle, using an endoscope is quick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, it’s dirty… so you can order parts right away without taking it out.
This is the endoscope I use. <\/a>

It has a camera that switches between straight and 90 degrees, and the thin 5.5mm diameter is definitely the easiest to work with. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cleaned and degreased all the brake disc holes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cleaned and oiled the speedometer cable and chain.
The rest is waiting for parts to arrive!
