It’s been a while since my last blog post, and I’m shaking with nervousness!

What I’ve learned this year is that it’s important to take time off during Golden Week.
When there are no parts or materials, getting calls like “just make it work somehow!” is really frustrating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I always keep the guard raised up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The crack in question has been permanently fixed and settled.

We no longer accept carburetor OH work on this GSX-R750 GR71 VM carburetor.
Since old equipment tends to develop various issues during the work process and afterward, we’ve decided not to do it anymore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did a quick check of the float chamber as well.
There’s rust all over the place. I really got to appreciate how well the rubber float valve performs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engine oil is Newtech NC50 10W-50.
The oil filter is set up to use current-model parts, so it’s very convenient. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I replaced the brake fluid with Golden Cruiser DOT 4.
It’s a good idea to change the fluid once a year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rear caliper’s bleed nipple had a hole size I’d never seen before, so I replaced it.
I wonder what that was about? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I heated it up and reset the brake lever. No burning allowed! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After cleaning up the fine details, I’ll put the carburetor back together and we’re done!
