Lately, it seems like there are more variants than the original. (At our shop)
It’s easy in every way, you know.

That said, time flies, and before you know it, these bikes have become classics\u2014or so it seems these days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Vacuum carburetors get pretty dull over time. This time, let’s make it look and work like new.

Most parts can be protected with a towel during removal. Cutting corners produces nothing\u2014or so I believe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Removed it quickly. Lately, I see a lot of CVK models.
This CVK probably came in two variants before evolving into the CVR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The strongest in the CV series is probably the CVR on the GS1200SS. Compared to the CVK, it has quite a few minor changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, it looks like it’s in rough shape, and I have a feeling this is going to be quite a job. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a little rust sediment in the float chamber. Nothing to worry about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The O-rings in the fuel passage were already falling apart. If your bike is over ten years old, you might be in for trouble if you don’t do a full four-carb disassembly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now, I’ve gone ahead and disassembled it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
