The inner tube re-plating from Toyo Hardening <\/a>has come back finished. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally the legs will hold up… earthquakes are scary, aren’t they? Already March…

The plating precision is better than new.
If you measure new ones, you’ll really see the difference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sad news…

The slide metal on the inner tube side appears to be discontinued…
This time the condition is good so we’ll reuse it, but I’m wondering what to do going forward…

We didn’t just give up easily…
we checked our stored samples and sourced five more to verify. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without new data I can’t say for certain, but it appears to be a special, slightly thinner dimension that’s not compatible with other metals.

Usually Daido Metal <\/a>DDR11 standard parts, or so I naively assumed… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burrs would contact the PDF, so we smoothed them out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s reassuring to have the cylinder bolts slide in smoothly by hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s better to replace these bolts while you can.
Some models have oil passages through these bolts, so underestimating them can lead to trouble…

Year after year, the same work doesn’t progress as easily ( \uff1b\u2200\uff1b) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To look stock-ish, we went with black this time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After stroking and the squelch, we vacuum bleed to purge air. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m not sure if it makes a dramatic difference, but seeing these fine bubbles gives me peace of mind that the air is properly purged. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
