The real thing might exceed the numbers? Maybe…
A collection of various intake manifolds. It’s quite interesting to gaze intently at the real thing and think about various things.
We keep all the throttle cables, intake manifolds, fork oil seals, metal, backup rings, bolts, and snap rings from past work.

A shock driver won’t even fit…

I just remembered shock drivers, but I don’t use them much lately.
I don’t even have a through-drive screwdriver.

Most of the time, whether bolts and nuts can be removed or not, or whether they break or strip, seems to come down to having bad tools in the first place or doing the work carelessly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you use a tool that fits properly and apply force reliably, most things will come off.
When things are tricky, you have to think like the screw and be gentle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that I’ve removed it, let me compare it with the GSXR1100K from our sister shop.

The 1100 is about 5mm longer overall! Being longer is a problem… the pulling direction is…

Since it’s still reusable, I’ll quickly swap it for an O-ring and a flanged perforated hex bolt and put it back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I synchronized the carburetors. By opening the PS a bit more, it now has that proper four-cylinder exhaust note. The engine sounds like it’s hungry for fuel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I replaced the handle switch with one that has hazard lights. I’ll do the right side tomorrow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The digital tach’s optional power comes from the left switch. I’ll label everything else with P-TOUCH so there’s no mix-ups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

GSX-R models lose throttle limiter function, so if you’re copying this, be careful!
