For me, I had no idea what was different.
The vent on the carb side seemed tight? Or maybe not. It was kind of hard to tell. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After assembly it would be tight, so I’m checking it out in its current state.

Hmm, normal!

It looked like grease, so I cleaned it up and lubricated it lightly for rust prevention. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hose is Mikuni OEM two-ply braided tube, and wrapping it with a mesh tube gives it an OEM look and helps prevent chafing.

With GSX-R models, using Mikuni hose can result in tight clearances, and some units won’t fit, so you might need to take measures. (That was just a side note.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The air filter was clean, so we’re continuing to use it this time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The longer you ride a bike, the more you appreciate the original design.
Is it deterioration? Or evolution? Getting back to basics, that kind of feeling.

I think the easiest way to get along with a bike is to just supplement the parts it’s lacking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you synchronize the carbs and adjust the PS, it produces that distinctive four-cylinder sound that goes “Booo.”
It’s subtly satisfying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alright! Long time no see, Daytona D-UNIT+. <\/a>We’re installing it now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we install it here, the labor costs more than the unit itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically, I don’t like sheet aluminum, so I made the bracket out of titanium (Grade 2), T=1.5mm to keep it as light as possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re changing all the spade connectors to 110-series connectors. <\/a>

With these connectors, most shops can handle them, and they’re easy to disconnect and understand.
For this type of component, I don’t connect the power and ground to the battery, so I changed them to the right length and crimped the terminals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is how we laid it out.
We’ve also added a band-type insurance in case the cover gets lost. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the battery gets weak, you should consider switching to an AGM battery next time. <\/a>

Open-type batteries (liquid acid) produce hydrogen gas, have the risk of sulfuric acid damage, and require fluid top-ups.
By switching, all these issues are resolved and the battery life is better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
