The month is flying by. How are you all doing?

The carburettor polishing is complete, so I’ll get to assembling it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The left is the free site, the right is the paid site.
When you line them up, you might think the left looks dirty, but it’s actually quite clean.

The paid finish comes out even more beautiful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assembling any part after cleaning it feels great.
That sense of care you’d have installing something brand new\u2014it matters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brackets got a fresh coat with gun coat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Inazuma 1200 starter valve is no longer available, so we’re sourcing one from a carburettor in the same family from Kawasaki. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keihin carburetors are really something special. The float level and actual fuel level sync up almost perfectly.
Mikuni’s vacuum carbs are tough going now\u2014especially the BST.
The float arm really does stay solid when it’s mounted to the body.

There’s some give if it breaks, but… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you disassemble the carb, replacing the throttle cable at the same time really brings out the benefits of the OH. (A lighter throttle means better throttle response too.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We use genuine Mikuni two-layer fuel hose. It doesn’t kink easily, stays soft, and doesn’t harden. This is my personal best choice so far.

Wrapping areas that might rub with braided tubing gives you peace of mind and improves the look too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We synchronized the carburetors and got a smooth, stable idle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I forgot to transfer the images, but…

That fuse-blowing issue with the grip heater turned out to be a problem with the grip heater switch! We’ve fixed it, so it should run full throttle now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Test ride complete\u2014it’s finished! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
