Maybe the rain is putting up a fight too. There’s still some oil residue, but the timing was perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll clean and lubricate the left and right levers too. Removing them and applying grease seems to give better lubrication longevity.

The side stand gets the same treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll lubricate and clean the throttle cable and throttle sleeve.
The throttle sleeve on the handlebar side just needs a light moisturizing touch.

Occasionally you’ll find one that’s been heavily greased, but that makes the return action really sluggish, so watch out for that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I replaced the brake fluid with CCI Golden Cruiser DOT4

You might want to replace the cap bolts every time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll lubricate and clean the main key (don’t just put it back in as-is). The fuel cap will also move a bit better with some rust prevention and lubrication.

I’ll check the fuses too for peace of mind. The charging voltage is fine.
