Parts won’t arrive on weekends either, so

I took a photo of how it looked back then. Let’s start removing the gas tank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can really see the height difference of the fairing based on the headlight position.
The 750 really does look more aggressive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 750 really does seem to have tighter clearances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They used these bagged connectors back in this era\u2026

They’re incredibly inconvenient to work with, so I’ll swap them out for something better. Better serviceability is definitely going to be worth it going forward (for me, anyway). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time we’re going with the standard bracket\u2014that’s the plan. I’m checking the contact points as we go.

The mirror ears are hitting hard, so I’ll cut them off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the end, I cut away quite a bit more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cut away the fairing bracket and did a temporary fit using the headlight case as reference. The handlebar ends up right where I’d need to cut on both sides\u2014not ideal.


I might need to reduce the steering angle a bit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s a lot to think about with the mounting and everything. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
