The Super has gotten a lot of heat and bad press.

I thought it shouldn’t be that way, but when I ask around,

some say “I like the K\/L face” (talking about the 1100),
others say “I like the M\/N face” (also the 1100),

and it’s more like, well\u2026 that’s not quite it\u2026 what do you think?

Finally, a customer raised their hand and said “Let’s do it!” so I’d like to move forward.
But first\u2014how about we test it on the 1100? We’ll run a test. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The rumored 1100K (with L bodywork) is in the shop for inspection, so we’ve got consent from both parties.

Let’s check the fitment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 1100 has the handlebar mounted high on top, which gives it a somewhat aggressive look. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 750J’s fairing went all the way up near the headlight, but the 1100\u2026 well\u2026

it just didn’t fit right\u2014we had to stop the installation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do this work on the 1100, we’d need to:

\u2022 Lower the handlebar
\u2022 Cut the fairing brackets
\u2022 Adjust the handlebar turning angle
and various other things\u2014it’s going to be a real pain in the back, honestly.

If we lower the handlebar, the protruding parts might look even worse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the 1100, we first need to source a used fairing bracket\u2026
Does anyone have one they don’t need? How about trading it for one of our shop keychains?
*We can cut off the mirror part, so it can be bent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a bike with clip-on bars,
“low handlebars and fairing look cool,” but position-wise\u2026 it’s a really tricky balance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think it’s fun to enjoy the early model with reshaping rather than modification.
