It’s been a while since we’ve had this in.

We ordered the battery, but due to scheduling and time constraints, things got held up.
It’s been sitting for a bit, so I figured we’d probably need to tear down the carburetor…

We’ll swap it out for a reliable GEL battery (we just recently started carrying them). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We applied tape and nut sponge.
This prevents forgetting the year of use and keeps nuts from coming loose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This slightly sketchy Amazon battery charger is surprisingly easy to read and works great. <\/a>
It’s amazing it’s ranked number one\u2014 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if you think it’s been sitting for a long time, it’s a good idea to drain the gas from the carburetor and check first.

When we drained it, we found\u2014 “Oh, it’s not varnished!”

We swapped in some fresh fuel, did a few dry cranks to circulate a bit of oil, and then started it up!
“Brrrrroooo~”

It fired right up\u2014 so grateful! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Going back a bit, we also drained the engine oil as a precaution.

There’s a chance gasoline got mixed in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also replaced the brake fluid as a precaution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We cleaned up the cover too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All that’s left is a test ride, and if everything checks out, we’re done! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
