Anyway, setting that aside. Here we go again with another GSX1200S Inazuma oil-cooled Katana. It’s super popular!

It’s in the condition shown in the image above. A few aftermarket parts are installed.

A clean harness doesn’t actually improve performance.
But when you peel back the fairings and see it,

I think saying “wow, so clean!” adds to your attachment in a positive way.

Let’s keep the mindset of “underwear is Italian-made.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be honest, this isn’t really content that’s very useful to read.

As a work report… the Inazuma 1200 has a somewhat tricky harness layout.
At first glance it makes you think “it won’t come out?”

Most bikes don’t have this issue, but this one does!

It starts from the fuse box and runs everything through from there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key point is around here, below the air cleaner.

Don’t get frustrated and just go for it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Headlight direction and taillight direction are extracted and gathered in the center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Then everything is extracted to the fuse box location.

It’s completely the opposite, or you could say it’s pretty tricky. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And that’s how extraction is complete.

By the way, the Inazuma 1200 harness is discontinued, so we use the Inazuma 400 one.

Ideally the later Inazuma 400 with TPS would be best, but it’s discontinued. We have no choice but to use the earlier version.
If you don’t mind the hassle, I think any harness from this era works fine…
(though we don’t do that…) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We use No-Touch, everyone’s favorite, to finish it cleanly. <\/a>
Seriously, try it and I bet you’ll want to keep one on hand.
*Don’t use it on tires… it’s handier than silicone spray. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t you think, do we really need a fuel pump?
The 400 doesn’t have one anyway… so this gets removed.

I think it’s better to angle the fuel line from the carburetor side upward to avoid air in the line.

*Since we remove the carb’s fuel line plate, you end up having to remove the carb anyway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Inazuma 400 harness will probably be discontinued soon too…

It’s a good idea to get one while they’re still being supplied.
