I’d like to replace the fairing and fairing bracket with new ones\u2014150% wishful thinking.
Well, used parts aren’t easy to find either.

There are concerns in various places, but let’s focus on bringing it back to life first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

This one already has clip-on bars, so there’s no problem.

The state of clip-on bars in the world isn’t so simple.
\u2022 Touching the tank (pinching fingers)
\u2022 Headlight bracket issues
\u2022 Throttle cable and clutch cable length problems
\u2022 Master cylinder angle issues (angle that causes air to get trapped)
and so on.

Back in high school, I bought a Hurricane clip-on bar and installed it on an MBX50 and NS50F, but…
“Ugh! It hits the tank”\u2014so I spread the bars and installed them = super far, lowest position.
I wonder if there are any aftermarket parts that just bolt on as-is… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the stopper side is severely deformed, so I’ll correct it first.

Our shop’s equipment is limited\u2014we don’t have oxygen or acetylene.

Perfect for bending aluminum round bars and pipes too. I heated and corrected it with this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I kept flattening it as much as possible and squeezing it repeatedly, and got it to this point for now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next I’ll build it up with welding and fit it perfectly with the stem side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I applied Neutech NC100 thoroughly to the stem bearing and finally assembled it.

Of course I marked the stoppers (stem and frame side) with a touch pen.
Tamiya came out with a lacquer brush-painting version\u2014it’s pretty good.

The fuzzy hose was hard to install, so I replaced it with a genuine Mikuni two-layer hose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The small parts arrived, so time to install.
