Time to clean things up with a digital one\u2014that&#8217;s how we got the go-ahead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/DSC07062.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37783\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The upper cowl stay is bent too much and starting to crack. <br><br>Since there&#8217;s no spare, let&#8217;s patch it up for now and keep moving. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/DSC07064.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37784\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We welded all the way around and added a light reinforcement bead in the direction we don&#8217;t want it to crack. Might be a bit stronger now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/DSC07063.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37785\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the digiten bracket, we drilled holes in the frame side (bolt relief) and went with the welded nut approach. <br><br>With a nice bracket, you&#8217;d have to strip the paint, so we&#8217;d use a different method. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/DSC07065.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37786\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We fabricated the digiten bracket from SUS304 sheet metal. <br><br>It&#8217;s heavy, but we can keep the wall thickness thin and don&#8217;t need surface treatment. I like SUS and titanium for that reason. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"854\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/DSC_1659.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37787\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you get into these kinds of installations with special dimensions below the neck, it&#8217;s quietly annoying. <br><br>You know, those one-off muffler brackets that pop up sometimes. <br>The silencer fixing boss is flush with a countersunk head, and the cap diameter and neck length are both special.
