Even though the tape isn’t visible, if you finish the edges with an R profile, it looks like “wow, this is like the stuff they sell!” and your motivation to apply it goes up a few percent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The merits of the SJ-4570 are “thinness when joined, balance of bonding strength, and minimal adhesive residue.”

\u2022 Thinness when joined: Other dual locks tend to add some thickness.
\u2022 Balance of bonding strength: It’s not too strong, not too weak\u2014it clicks together with a satisfying snap.
\u2022 Minimal adhesive residue: Cleanup when you peel it off is really easy.

I’ve used a lot of dual locks, but for my purposes, this is the best one so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

0.05\u20130.10 mm is pretty tight tolerance… the shims sold are in 0.05 mm increments.
Some bikes spec up to 0.15 mm.

Valve clearance that’s too tight is the worst.
Too loose is no good either, but… you want it just right. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
